2009 Brings Cash Game Academies from WSOP

The World Series of Poker has announced a new series of academies to be launched in early 2009. The new academies will focus on cash game play and will begin at Harrah’s Atlantic City casino on January 24th and 25th. That academy will be followed by a second at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada on February.

The new series of Cash Game Academies will have live play workshops, seminars and end with a cash game competition. Players will learn how to transition from tournament play to cash games as well as how to improve reading ability and identify opponents hand ranges. Players will be able to learn through video analyses of cash games with hands broke down at each stage.

At the end of the seminar, attendees can participate in a cash game tournament to test their skills. The winner of the competition will receive an all expense paid trip to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for the WSOP Tournament of Champions 2009.

Poker professionals will be conducting the seminars and those to be present at the Atlantic City series are: Alex Outhred, Mark Seif and Paul Wasicka. At the Caesars Palace series, Seif and Outhred will make another appearance along with Michael Gracz.

Those interested in the Cash Game Academies can enroll for $1,899 and a spot can be secured for only $499.75. The remainder of the tuition can be paid in three monthly installments.
