$500,000 Buy-in for High Stakes Poker
Jamie Gold, 2006 WSOP main event winner, has signed up for the episodes. Daniel Negreanu will take his place during one episode. Antonio Esfandiari has also signed on and has appeared on all four season of the show. Barry Greenstein and David Benyamine has also put up their half a million to play.
Patrik Antonius from Finland has posted $1 million to participate in the High Stakes Poker show. And there will also be a new face on the show this year. Guy Laliberte, co-founder and CEO of Cirque du Soleil will be playing for the first time. He has seen some recent success and will be donating part of his winnings from the show to the One Drop Foundation.
And last but not least is Doyle Brunson. He will bring his wisdom and experience to the show. All these professional players are sure to make this year's series an exciting and thrilling event. And now with the higher buy-in it just ups the ante and really makes it 'high stakes.'
