Absolute Poker Facing Audit Concerning Former CEO

A statement has been released by Absolute Poker stating that an independent third party is auditing them, which is Gaming Associates. Absolute has stated that Gaming Associates will be providing an investigation in order to reveal any foul play by someone who may have had access to hole card information and if and how they used that information for their own personal gain.

It is currently former CEO Scott Tom who is in the spotlight right now as many allegations against him have surfaced in the last few days. And it has been confirmed by Absolute Poker that Mr. Tom will be the focus of the lengthy investigation.

The controversy started when a few online poker players did some detective work after noticing some strange hands from the "363" account which has been linked to the former CEO of Absolute.

One of the thoughts on how this all came about was that Mr. Tom had access to hole cards of each player at the table and then he used dormant accounts in order to dominate online poker tournaments and then the accounts would quickly disappear after he won the game.

It is believed the Absolute Poker as a whole was not involved in the scam and they are just as anxious to find out what happened and to put an end to it once and for all.
