Advertisement by Party Poker Banned

The Advertising Standard Authority is constantly looking at advertisements created by online gambling companies and making sure they are appropriate for viewing. Sometimes ads are found appropriate and other times they are not and the ASA bans them. The most recent advertisement to be banned by the ASA was created by Party Poker.

Party Poker created an ad campaign based on their $2 million prize pool game and it soon was received one complaint so the ASA investigated and then banned the ad. The new ad states that research was done by an opinion poll of 10,000 people who found the players win more at Party Poker.

The ASA stated they felt the advertisement made viewers really believe they could win more money by playing at Party Poker than at other poker websites. This of course is the reason the ASA banned the advertisement.

Hopefully Party Poker can find another way to use their research to create an advertisement that will be pleasing to the ASA and still bring in the customers.
