Betcha.com Still Awaiting Its Fate

It is still unclear right now if Nick Jenkins will be extradited to Louisiana from Washington State. But the 38-year-old owner of Betcha.com will only have to wait another week to see where fate will take him.

In July of this year, a Louisiana state trooper placed a bet at Betcha.com shortly after Jenkins had a run in with gambling officials in Washington state over a dispute of whether or not his betting site was legal and in compliance with the law. After the dispute, the Betch.com offices were raided and all computer equipment was taken by authorities, which put the site out of order, and Jenkins in the hot seat.

But this entrepreneur is sitting back and taking this lightly. He is defending his site stating it was a gambling forum and did not bank games. Gamblers were accepting bets, not him or his company. Jenkins has formally launched litigation against the state gambling authorities.

Jenkins, who is a lawyer himself, is firm on believing he is in the right and awaiting fair treatment. Lee Rousso, Jenkins hired attorney, has stated that the delay in the hearing for extradition could give him the time needed to work something out.
