Carnival Cruise Lines is going to start hosting No Limit Hold'em poker satellite tournaments on dozens of their Fun Ship voyages this year.  The 2008 Carnival PokerPro Challenge is going to happen on select cruises from now until June 30th.

Winners of the preliminary tournaments will face off during the Grand Final Playoff that is set for October 4th on the Carnival Fantasy's Voyage.  Players will be competing for $45,000 in cash.  In the press release the Carnival Cruise Lines released, the tournaments are going to be played on newly installed PokerPro tables.

PokerPro tables are the new automated tables that don't need a dealer.  Each player has a screen in front of them that shows their hand, table stakes, wagers, community cards, pot amount and commitments.

The entry fee and buyin for theses 10 player tournaments is $150 with a $15 rake per entry.
