Day One of Legends of Poker Finished
He has just come off an incredible WSOP event that saw him win $521,785 and a bracelet in one of the no limit events, cashed in a pot limit event and placed 90th in the main event for $82,476. If that wasn't good enough, Safieddine also placed first in a Bellagio Cup event for $72,355.
Having a very successful summer, he now has his sites on the top prize and becoming a poker legend in the process. There is still however, a lot of good players left to conquer.
There are some great names though that will not be putting any pressure on the leader this year. This years and last WSOP champion are going home. Jamie Gold and Jerry Yang ran out of cards and will not be around for day 2. Same can be said for Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, Phil Hellmuth.
The event still has some power left though as Josh Arieh, Evelyn Ng, Tuan Le, Scotty Ngyuen, Doyle Brunson and Barry Greenstein just to name a few.
Jordan Morgan is currently holding down the second position. He also had a great WSOP event with four cashes and riding the wave of momentum into this Legends event. Morgan finished second in the 2006 U.S. Poker Championship in 2006 to claim his biggest money finish so far in his career.
