Former Royal Officer Admits to Playing Poker at Buckingham

A news report recently surfaced about a former royal protection officer who was accused of a million dollar betting and property scam. The former protection officer admitted that colleagues played poker and swapped adult material while at Buckingham palace.

Paul Page is the former guard who revealed this information and he has been accused of cheating investors of their life savings and has since tried to make a good defense in Crown Court. Page commented that royal protection officers earned extra money with overtime but did ‘very little’. He stated they were ‘running poker games for money in down time’ and one officer was selling adult reading material.

Page also admitted steroid rackets, abuse in servant’s quarters that were ignored and officers sitting on the thrones and taking pictures of them on the throne. Page continues to defend himself during his trial. It has been alleged that he promised people they would earn large amounts of money by posting bets in the ‘Currency Club’ that was set up for fellow officers by Page.

It is amazing that the officers were playing poker while on the clock at Buckingham palace. It seems they had a lot of free time on their hands or they found the time to play the game while ignoring other duties.
