Hellmuth and Enright Join Poker Hall Of Fame
Phil Hellmuth, famed poker player at UltimateBet.com, was the youngest World Series of Poker Main Event winner in WSOP history, taking the prize in 1989 at the age of 24. Hellmuth holds the record for most cashes in the WSOP, as well as 11 career WSOP bracelets.
Barbara Enright is the first woman ever inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame, and the only woman to ever make her way to the World Series of Poker Main Event final table. Enright took her first WSOP bracelet back in 1986, winning a Ladies 7-Stud tournament. Her successful career as a professional poker player has spanned over 2 decades, collecting 3 WSOP bracelets.
According to Jeffrey Pollack, Commissioner of the WSOP, the Poker Hall of Fame qualifying criteria is quite stringent. "A gambler must have played against top competition for high stakes, played well, and gained the respect of his or her peers, and stood the test of time. Barbara and Phil clearly meet these high standards, and we are delighted to welcome them into the Hall of Fame as the Class of 2007."
