IPN Network Reports Bad Beat Jackpot Increase

The International Poker Network at GTECH G2 recently announced that the Bad Beat Jackpot has increased above €300,000. The jackpot will be earned if a player holds a great hand but is beaten by a better hand, thus the Bad Beat.

Currently if the Bad Beat Jackpot is hit, the winner of the hand would earn over €50,000 while the remaining players at the table would split the same amount. The loser of the hand would earn at least €100,000 according to Per Karlsson.

Karlsson is the Head of Poker at GTECH G2 and he stated: “We boosted the jackpot last week so that the next winner would get at least €100,000. The last time our Bad Beat jackpot was hit was shortly after it topped €400k so I have a feeling it won’t be long before we’re making another player feel better about losing with a winning hand!”

It will be interesting to see if the jackpot will be hit soon or if it will hold out to be larger than the €412,000 jackpot which was won this past August.
