Inventor to be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame
As the final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event draws near one man is getting ready to be remembered forever in the Poker Hall of Fame. Henry Orenstein will be honored as he is inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in November for his contribution to the game of poker.
Henry Orenstein is an inventor and he is the man who came up with the idea to show hole cards during televised poker events. Orenstein patented the idea and will be remembered for creating what makes televised poker great.
The hole card camera allows the television viewers know what cards each player is holding while not allowing the opponents the same knowledge. It also helps the commentator to analyze game play and report it back to the viewer.
Orenstein will be honored during the main event final table of the World Series of Poker on November 9th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Orenstein’s other great accomplishment is creating the popular “Transformer” toys.
Another person who will be honored during the main event is Duane “Dewey” Tomko. Duane is a three time bracelet winner and will be honored for his 35 year streak of participating in the World Series of Poker.
