Largest Bad Beat Jackpot in Florida History Won
The biggest Bad Beat Jackpot in Florida history has been won at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. The jackpot had climbed up to $563,912 dollars before it was won by Glen Upchurch on Monday.
When the jackpot was triggered it put all of the action in the poker room to a dead stop. "There was absolutely a huge response in the room when this happened, people from all the other tables came over to see and congratulate the winners", said The Poker Room Manager, Henry Fuke.
Of course when a Bad Beat Jackpot is won both the loser and the winner of the hand both get paid, so when Glen's four sixes ended up losing to William Leriecke's Straight Flush Eight High they were both happy. Glen Upchurch may have lost the hand and the pot but his bad beat won him $285,923 dollars and Lewicke got $141,227 dollars for helping him lose.
The bad beat was celebrated by the other eight players sitting at the table as an unexpected $17,654 dollars fell into their laps. The Bad Beat Jackpot is reset every time after it is won and currently sits at $185,621 dollars and will continue to climb until the next lucky loser triggers it. This was the largest prize ever won at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa so now there is a new record to be beaten.
