Microgaming Bad Beat Jackpot Reaches $200,000
The Bad Beat Jackpot is at $200,000 dollars and still rising on the Microgaming Poker Network, this is up 35 percent on previous records according to a statement from the company. The Bad Beat Jackpot is won when a hand that is a four of a kind, 8's or better loses.
To qualify for the Bad Beat Jackpot you must be dealt into the hand and it also has to be a raked hand and lastly the jackpot contribution must be collected from that hand. Both the winning and the losing player's in the hand must use both of their hole cards and the hand must go to a showdown.
The jackpot contribution is 50 cents and it is only collected once during a hand. The contribution is take from the pot as the hand is raked. Jackpot contributions are accumulated and the value of the jackpot is on display in the lobby and at every table until the jackpot is won.
The Bad Beat system is only on specified's tables so if you want to try for the jackpot you have to be at a Bad Beat Table. All players must be seated at one of the tables and actively participating in the hand to get a payout.
