Paddy Power Teams Up With Electronic GameCard
Paddy Power, the largest betting operation with 220+ facilities across Ireland and the UK, not to mention its online operations, has embarked on a new marketing campaign with Electronic GameCard, producer of a novelty electronic gaming device that is very popular in the UK.
Electronic GameCard (EGC) is about the size of a credit card, allowing its user to play various games with real rewards. In 2005, EGC was awarded Lottery Product of the year for being revolutionary and highly effective for retailers, appealing greatly to lottery players especially.
An EGC contains minute computer chips that allow it to be programmed with a variety of games and promotional applications. The EGC Company currently services a client base with a $202 billion (USD) market that include not only national and state lotteries, but also casino and gaming businesses.
Paddy Power has initiated a full marketing campaign geared towards customer acquisition and branding. The deal with EGC is a key component in the promotion efforts of Paddy Power. In addition to its many land-based retail betting shops, Paddy Power operates online gambling venues that offer fixed odds sports betting and games, poker, casino, bingo, financial trading, skill gaming, auctions and lotteries.
A spokesperson for Electronic GameCard revealed, "Our innovative Game Cards are a cost-efficient and highly effective promotional device for achieving marketing campaign revenue objectives through familiarity and relevance to games that are offered in the online world."
