PokerStars Launches LAPT
PokerStars has announced the launch of their first major Latin American poker tour the LAPT. This tour is set to make stops in some of the most exotic stops in Latin America including Brazil, Costa Rica and Uruguay.
The Latin American Poker Tour will be kicking off on the beachside city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil on May 3rd and will run til May 5th. This three day tournament will be the largest of it's kind to be ever held in Brazil. Players are going to be competing for a total prize pool of over $600,000 dollars.
Some of the world's best players will be in attendance and Team PokerStars and International poker stars Akkari from Brazil and Humberto Brenes from Costa Rica have already confirmed.
The tour will then continue on from there to San Jose in Costa Rica for the tournament that will run from May 22nd to May 24th and then the LAPT will be stopping in Punta del Este in Uruguay from August 7th through the 9th.
