PokerStars New Title Sponsor for Heartland Poker Tour
The Heartland Poker Tour is entering its fifth season and this year the tour will have a big name poker room as their title sponsor. PokerStars has signed on to be the new title sponsor for the Heartland Poker Tour.
This year’s tour will have eighteen to twenty events and according to Greg Lang, a founder and executive producer of the tour, events see anywhere from 1,000 to 3,000 players and main events have around 200-400 people.
Lang also commented that the new sponsorship gives the tour “a lot of street cred” and they are very excited about working with PokerStars. Lang also commented that PokerStars should give the tour a great deal more exposure than they have had in the past.
PokerStars will be advertising in the casinos where events will be held. Events are held in several states across the United States including Michigan, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Colorado and Iowa. PokerStars will also be able to advertise on the televised events.
The tour will now be known as the Heartland Poker Tour presented by PokerStars. The deal is for one year but PokerStars has the option to renew the deal for two more years if they would like.
