Queens of Heart Poker Team Joins WSOP
It was recently announced that the Queens of Heart Poker team have joined ranks with the World Series of Poker. Queens of Heart play poker and donate a percentage of their winnings to charity. Members of the team include: Celebrities-Linda Johnson, Jennifer Tilly and Kristy Gaze along with several professional poker players.
Currently the Queens of Heart team is offering a position on the team to one very lucky lady. There will be four $100 buy in tournaments called the Queens of Hearts League at Harrah’s in Vegas. The overall winner of the tournaments will win a spot on the team for the 2009 WSOP. The winner will also get to attend a luncheon before the WSOP begins.
Lisa Tenner the founder of the Queens of Heart commented on the move: “I am proud that the Queens Of Heart is a part of the history, tradition and the future of the WSOP.” WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack commented that it is undecided on what role the team will play with the WSOP but they are “looking into ways that every woman can take part in it.” Pollack also commented that the team would become “more inclusive versus exclusive as it has been.”
