Talks At Barcelona To Support Washington D.C. Trip
One of the discussions at the iGaming Expo in Barcelona was about operators, developers and poker players among others supporting and attending the meeting that is planned in Washington D.C. from October 22nd to October 24th by the Poker Players Alliance.
This group has meetings set up with members of Congress who in the end will be voting on the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Some of the people planning to attend are well known poker professionals from across the United States; Andy Bloch, Chad Brown, Berry Greenstien, Howard Lederer, and Chris Moneymaker to name a few of these players.
In statements made by Sue Schneider one of the co-organizers of this Barcelona Expo asked that the members attending send someone to represent their companies to Washington D.C from October 22nd until October 24th to show support for online gambling and online poker, in this statement she also said that this also includes the European online operators. This being the occasion to make their voices heard and sitting back not having their voices heard will not help to change the regulations of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.
She went on to say that she has been reading information online as to who will attend and those who will not be attending and pleaded that those who were not planning to attend to send someone in their place.
The website Gambling911 has been asked to cover the event.
