The casino intends to have Detroit's "premier poker room," with rumor suggesting it will have eight poker tables total. MGM has yet to release the complete details about games that will be available and the set up. The details that have been released are: the MGM Grand Detroit will present 400 elegant and trendy guest rooms, including nine rooftop VIP suites and 56 lavish corner suites.
Guests will in addition be able to choose from three signature restaurants from two of the world's finest renowned chefs, Wolfgang Puck and Michael Mina. The destination furthermore will feature 24-hour in-room dining by Puck plus casual restaurants, lounges, "high-energy nightlife," the only resort-style spa in the Detroit market and 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The opening of the destination also will create an additional 1,000 jobs, of which more than half will be Detroit residents."
The impact for local poker players and poker experts is a location of elegance and amazement for all players. This will also draw in a wealth of tourists, to a location most would not have previously considered, truly expanding the marketplace, and the income that will result.
