The Perfect Summer Job

Eighteen-year-old Chris Benton a Sonoma State sophomore decided for his summer job he would neither have a boss nor hours that conflicted with his summer plans, so he played online poker. Now at nineteen he feels playing online poker is not just luck but makes him use strategic thinking as well as advance his knowledge in psychology.

This is a growing field of employment for some teens and young adults who feel it is a way to earn money without the restraints of a regular part time job, and they are treating it as such by studying gambling books and other information to prepare themselves for their job, leaving luck for scratch of lottery tickets. Benson states that of his former classmates close to a dozen consider online poker as a way of employment rather than a way of entertainment to pass time.
