Three Poker Pros Turn Ambassadors for APT
Since the end of the Macau tournament of the Asian Poker Tour, three professional poker players have been signed on to serve as ambassadors. The APT released a press release that stated the pros would represent the APT on the world poker circuit. The three poker pros chosen are: J.C. Tran, Quinn Do and Nam Le.
Chief Executive Officer of AsianLogic, Tom Hall, stated: “We have big plans for these guys and are happy they signed with us to spread the word about the APT worldwide. We expected success, but such a [big] result for two of the ambassadors so quickly is brilliant.” AsianLogic operates the Asian Poker Tour.
Nam Le won the APT Macau High Rollers event taking home a prize of $474,358. Le also has cashed out in the World Series of Poker and has won events in the World Poker Tour. Le commented in the press release about his win and working with APT:
“I’m truly delighted to have won and so happy to have gotten my deal with the APT off to the best possible start. I’m looking forward to representing the Tour around the world. It wasn’t looking great for me in this tournament at one stage, but I was always confident that I would bounce back.”
J.C. Tran has won over $1.7 million from WSOP and Circuit Events and won his first gold bracelet in the 2008 WSOP. Tran has also seen success at World Poker Tour events as well as winning the 2006 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker Main Event. Quinn Do has won a WSOP bracelet as well and had success in Word Poker Tour events and other circuit events. Do won almost $1 million for finishing second at the WPT L.A. Poker Classic Season VI.
These three professionals will be seen at future events of the Asian Poker Tour. The Tour will finish up in Seoul and Singapore in the upcoming months.
