Void Star Creations Releases Poker Smash For Xbox-360
The concept is ingenious, yet simple. Instead of shapes or matching objects, players will line up cards to make a poker hand. Released for Xbox 360, players will have the option of multi-player action, heads-up action and even tournament style play with opponents across the globe.
Poker Smash is the debut release of developer Void Star Creations. Void Star's Drew Card offered his comments on the gameplay of Poker Smash, "Poker Smash is a fast paced puzzle game with a poker twist. Colored cards are presented on an upward scrolling grid style game board, and the goal is to clear cards by making poker hands before the board hits the top."
Card went on to explain that Poker Smash offers 11 action mode themes and supports up to 5-person multi-player tournaments, adding that they're "very fun and usually involves much shouting."
Microsoft showed off this latest creation at the 2007 E3 Conference, but a launch date has not yet been set. When asked to narrow down the official launch date, Card replied "I'm sorry, but all I can say is that Poker Smash will be out later this year."
