World Series of Poker Circuit WSOPC Lake Tahoe
Taking home the win for event 1 was Hoang "Johnny" To. Initially Johnny was down 11 to 1 early on in the heads-up match against Elmer Fulgencio, then coming back to take the win of the $300 No-Limit Hold'em game for event 1.
When Johnny came to the final table, he had the lead in chips. That changed as the cards went on, his chips slowly dwindling down as he played against his eight other opponents, making a win for the event seem further and further out of reach.
As cards would have it, the tables were turned and Johnny made a fantastic comeback, winning the tournament and prize of $35,634. Elmer Fulgencio, as runner-up, brought in $21,832.
Merrick J. Black won the title for event 2, winning $44,477 in prize money, in the $500 No-Limit Texas Hold'em game.
On Nov. 16, the main event of the 2007 WSOPC Lake Tahoe will begin. It's a $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament, lasting three days.
