World Series of Poker Radio Show launched by Harrah
A new radio show is going to be launched by Harrah's Entertainment that will have poker enthusiasts very happy. Harrah's have decided to start a weekly radio show about the World Series of Poker. It will broadcast from 8pm to 10pm on Mondays. People can tune in to the Sports Byline Radio Network and listen to the program on over 200 stations.
Nick Geber will be the host of the radio show. Geber heard regularly commentating on the WSOP. He also works on Fox Sports World as the host of Fox Football Friday. Geber has stated that he is very excited about the show and knows that sports radio and poker fans will follow the show and participate.
Not only can the show be heard on over 200 channels but it is also available on the World Series of Poker website and also SportsByline.com, Cable Radio Network and local radio affiliates. The WSOP Commissioner, Jeffrey Pollack, had this to say about the new radio show: "World Series of Poker Radio is the latest addition to our broadcasting and new media portfolio and opens up a new way for us to connect with our fans and players. We're now 'on air' every week with the biggest names in the game, news from the WSOP and insights from top poker analysts."
Beginning on January 28th, the radio show listeners can hear the show on their cell phones by using Upsnap. More stations will be added in the future but for now here are a few of the participating local stations in major markets.
