You Can Still Qualify For the Great British Poker Tour (GBPT)

The Great British Poker Tour (GBPT) will have world class Poker Professionals, Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, Jennifer Tilly, Robert Williamson III and Jamie Gold playing in the event. The Tour will have these poker pros and skilled amateurs battling it out for a big prize package and title of The Great British Poker Champion 2007.  The Gala Casino Harbourside in Bristol will be host to the Tour from November 5th through November 11th, 2007.


GBPT Tournament Director Thomas Kremser is quoted as saying, "So far in the GBPT we've seen a really high standard of poker from local amateurs holding their own against UK and European pro-players. It will be a fascinating contest to see what drama will unfold with these star names of World Poker fame.  For aspiring poker players, it simply doesn't get any better than this!"


The GBPT Grand Final Main Event will have a buy-in of $2,500+$50 and will be limited to 200 people. Qualifications for the Main event are by winning a Festival Main Event or by qualifying through a live or online satellite.  The estimated prize pool is $500,000 and there will also be a first prize of $165,000.  The victor will also walk away with a seat for the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic in December.
