Bet Direct Sold

Stan James Bookmaker is in the final stages of buying Bet Direct and is coming complete in the online market with casino, poker and sportsbook, plans are to merge these two entities together.

According to Peter Fisher the CEO of Stan James the company feels that their purchase of Bet Direct will fit with their current online operations and they expect to have the sites completely merged by the tenth of December 2007. He went on to say that they are looking forward to the new online players they will be acquiring with this buyout.

Bet Directs profit reports from the beginning of the year until June 30th 2007 reported a twenty-seven percent increase in their gross profits with earnings of ₤920,000 and report that their online players are over 54,000, which is an eighteen percent increase.

Ed Ware the CEO of 32Red stated with the sale of Bet Direct it will allow their company to focus on marketing of the 32Red brand which offers player a full casino that includes poker and sports betting and they also intend to add mobile services for gaming.  Current sportsbook holders with 32Red will become a white label of Stan James.
