Casino and Management Go To Court

Des Moines Iowa was the place that the two entities met in court and one walked away the winner of a $10 million dollar judgment as ruled by the jury. In Polk County District Court Gerald Kirke owner of Wild Rose Entertainment and John Pavone, president of Signature Management Group battled over breach of contract for Pavone and his company to manage a us casino hotel in Emmetsburg.

John Pavone testified that he and his company Signature Management Group entered into a contract with Gerald Kirke and Wild Rose Entertainment to manage the Wild Rose hotel last year when it opened in Emmetsburg. Kirke on the other side testified that the two companies had not entered into this contract, although Wild Rose Entertainment and Signature Management Group had a verbal agreement, he and his company did not feel bound by it with out a signed written agreement by both parties.

The jury however, did believe that these two companies did have such an agreement and after deliberating they came back with their decision to award John Pavone and Signature Management Group $10 million dollars in damages according to the Des Moines Iowa newspaper The Register.
