Global Player Sees The End

An announcement has been made that one of the longest lasting Internet casinos will be closing their doors to their online poker room on November 30^th; this casino is Global Poker Room.

According to Giancarlo Bettini the CEO of Universal Gaming Concepts Inc. who stated that after the company did an evaluation of Global Player the company has decided it will not continue to operate their Global Player Concepts Poker Room.

Bettini went on to say that with the changes in the online gaming industry and the legal issues it has made it complicated to keep their revenue up and compete with other online operators. This online casino just as many others have suffered from the loss of American players since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act came into effect. Along with the opening of advertising in the UK for online operators that are on the ‘white list' and are allowed to run advertising on television and other mediums.

He added that they are closing Global Poker Room now after eight years of providing poker for online players while they are still able to satisfy their online players, vendors, and their staff. Their players accounts are available to be paid immediately and will be processed until December 30^th.
