Will Sealand Casino become a reality, this time around? It is a plan that has been the in the works for sometime and though the U.S. and the U.K. applied pressure in the past, it is back in the news again. This time there has been an offer from a Russian group of investors who are interested in funding a communication satellite. The idea these Russian investors have is that with the launch of this satellite and Internet service is whatever is sent over this Internet service will be without any political restrictions or laws.

There are the same concerns as before where this could open up a place for Internet criminals, though this time political pressure may not stop this planned Internet service. They also fear this may attract illegal use of data and other forms of computer piracy, such as illegal down loading.

This satellite would provide Internet service that would be wide reaching, and with that plans for the Sealand Casino could also be put back into action, to become the worlds first gambling casino where the winnings are tax-free to the winning players. This would ensure that they had player filled sites bringing profit to their state.
