Texas Hold'em now in Macau

Texas Hold'em is now the biggest name in poker with more players worldwide.  Macau has become the gambling capital of the world, it stole the title away from you guessed it, Las Vegas in 2006.  Macau didn't really steal the title of course they had more gambling revenues for the year.  Now, for the first time players can play Texas Hold'em in Macau.

The Associated Press reported earlier this week that the major casinos in Macau have received permission from the government to offer Texas Hold'em.  The Grande Lisboa didn't waste any time after receiving the okay, the casino added four tables of Hold'em to the casino floor almost immediately.  Other big casinos in the area like the Wynn, MGM Grand and the Las Vegas Sands are sure not to be too far behind in making changes to their game lineup.

Having already passed Las Vegas in gambling revenue this little island is looking forward to big money.  Sociedade de Jogos de Macau Chief Operating Officer and Director Louis Ng was quoted saying to the AP, "We are confident that Texas Hold'em will become very popular here" and he may be right.
