Big Changes At FunTech, Four Directors Leave Post
The company's current President and CEO, Lorne Abony, alongside Andrew Rivkin, founded the fantasy and skill gaming service, Fun Technologies, in 2002. Rivkin is also a co-founder of CryptoLogic, a foremost leader of online gaming and gambling software providers. Harvey Solursh, departing with Rivkin, also spent time as an executive with CryptoLogic.
It is not clear exactly why these four directors have left the company, nor whether it was by choice or coercion. The company has reported, however, that their leave was taken amicably.
To replace the empty seats, three new directors have been appointed board members. David Goldhill, senior advisor of Liberty Associated Partners and Current Communications, a private equity fund; William Brock, former chairman and director of Toronto-Dominion Bank, who retired in 2000; and J David Wargo, president of the private investment firm and communications specialist Wargo & Company.
