CEO Poker Tour AND the PPA Part Ways
The decision was made when the board of directors met recently to go over the concerns stemming from this relationship. Being the board was not prior consulted about the relationship, and some complications and conflicts have surfaced due to an endorsement request made by CEO Poker.
The press release states specifically "We are not in the business, nor is it in our organization's scope, to evaluate and endorse any organization that seeks to promote awareness of the PPA and its fight to defend poker. We are not a governing or regulatory body for tournaments, casinos, dealers, etc., nor do we seek to be. We are an organization that promotes the rights of poker players in the political arena at a Federal and State level."
It was released that several PPA members would appreciate an attempt to discuss things with CEO Poker and the World Poker Association, in the effort to resolve the issue. That will not come to light, as part of the press release stated that the Poker Players Alliance will have no further involvement with CEO Poker.
