RedKings Poker Mystery Solved; PokerStars Innocent

Several weeks back, as the WSOPE satellite events and qualifiers were hitting their peak traffic, RedKings Poker and their affiliates spent a good deal of time and energy to promote the online poker room's hosting of such tournaments. While those efforts were rewarded, the benefits went to an unlikely source - PokerStars.com.

For awhile, no one was sure what caused the error. Speculations arose as to PokerStars involvement in a player-snatching conspiracy - but it didn't make sense. PokerStars is a well established and highly respected online poker room with more than their fair share of traffic - why set up an elaborate scheme to hijack potential players from a relatively new member in the online gambling industry such as RedKings.com?

Finally, the mystery has been solved. Affiliates of RedKings did their job most efficiently, but the links provided did not send players to RedKings Poker, as they were intended. Instead they were redirecting players to PokerStars.

The entire mystery led directly to an error in RedKings Online Poker, leaving only themselves to blame for the extenuated loss in profits, which has yet to be approximated. It is still unknown why the links were redirecting to PokerStars.com.

Sadly, RedKings affiliates could also feel the effects of the error, as they have not been credited for the active referrals. It is hoped that RedKings Poker will investigate the issue more thoroughly and reimburse those affiliates who lost out.

When questioned as to how this could happen, the OnGame Network simply replied, "they were experimenting with things."
