Sweden Still On The Hunt

Reports of recent days has been about Sweden, who has seemed to be changing some of their ideas about gambling, some of this may be attributed to the monopoly on gambling that they will have to justify to the European Commission.

Lotteriinspektionen, which is the Swedish Gaming Board, began to investigate land based gambling in recent days and now they are focused on online gaming, at this time they have requested information about Redbet Limited. They began to look at Redbet in the past week, because though it holds no license in Sweden Redbet has many employees that live in Sweden.

This is not the first online gaming site they have requested company information from, earlier this past summer they also requested information from 24H Poker. In this request they inquired if their main business was in Sweden as they also do not hold a lisence in Sweden, and in a statement attorney Johan Rydstedt of the Swedish Gaming Board, had told the Gaming Intelligence Group they made a second inquiry of 24H Poker as they did not feel they gotten accurate information on the first request. Some of the inquiries are similar to the ones that are now being asked of Redbet Limited, 24H Poker also had many employees in Sweden.
