France Has A Stranglehold On The Online Gambling Industry
It was said last Wednesday, by French Interior Minister Michele Alliot-Marie, that she wants to liberalize online gambling. This would without a doubt give casinos in France "to be present in these new markets without lowering the level of vigilance that operators and the state must maintain on the quality and offering of games."
It is a concern that international operators are being blocked by the Francaise des Jeux and the PMU as they are the only ones who are allowed to operate online games.
While many others feel that international operators can do wonders within their market, Francaise des Jeux and the PMU have claimed that they are they only ones who can regulate and certify gambling and these are things which must be done in order to protect the welfare of their citizens and their country.
While it is still unsure if there will ever be a change for how online gambling is handled in France, it is sure to be a slow process if there is ever one at all.
