Annie Duke to Appear on Hit Reality TV Show
It has recently come to light that poker pro Annie Duke will be appearing on the Celebrity Apprentice 2. The hit TV show is a spin off from Donald Trump’s The Apprentice, which has business men and women vying for a top spot in Trumps Company. The Celebrity version has celebrities competing in challenges to ultimately win the top prize, which is money for charity.
Ultimate Bet’s official Aruba Poker Classic Blog, written by Gene Bromberg, stated that Annie Duke was not at the tournament because she was selected to be on the NBC hit. It stated that Annie had to fly to Los Angeles for a premiere party and while she was there Annie would be competing in the Ante Up for Africa Charity.
Along with actor Don Cheadle, Annie Duke has been a strong supporter and face behind the charity Ante Up for Africa. Since the TV show awards money for charity to the winner, Annie may be playing for the group.
In the television show Celebrity Apprentice players were divided into teams with team captions. They then had to perform tasks and the losing team would be subject to elimination. The winning team could stick around for the next round of challenges. The celebrity version makes for very interesting television and it will be interesting to see if Annie’s poker abilities will be able to help her maneuver in the world of Donald Trump.
