Dennis Phillips Holds Logo Auction
Dennis Phillips is the chip leader of the World Series of Poker and has decided to use his position in the series for a good cause. Dennis has come up with a new and interesting idea on sponsorship at the Final Table of the WSOP Main Event. Phillips will be holding an auction on eBay for companies and individuals to bid for a logo spot on his jersey.
Phillips will wear the logo during the WSOP Main Event and the proceeds he earns from the sponsor will go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The eBay auction begins today and will run until the 26th of this month. Companies as well as individuals can bid for logo placement to appear on Phillips jersey.
The WSOP Main Event will air on November 11th and millions upon millions will be viewing the series, so the logo winner will definitely be able to promote whatever they want to promote. The series will also re-air at least eight more times on the ESPN networks.
Phillips became involved with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society when his brother was diagnosed over ten years ago. Phillips stated that the Final Table is the opportunity of a lifetime but he hopes the opportunity will one day save someone’s life.
PokerStars sponsors Phillips and he is the odds favorite to win the title. Phillips has also stated that he will donate 1% of his final table winnings to the “Put a Bad Beat on Cancer” which PokerStars will match in full.
"We are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting promotion that will ultimately help us continue to move towards a world free of MS," said Phyllis Robsham, president of the Gateway Area Chapter. "The awareness and funds raised through Dennis' effort will help us to continue our work for the over 6,000 people living with MS in our area."
