Jennifer Harman Pledges money to NephCure Foundation
If one thing can be said about all poker players it would be that they all have very big hearts. Poker pros use their fame and fortune to raise awareness of charities they support as well as donate major funds to the organizations that need help. Poker pros are constantly attending charity poker tournaments or offering up their own money to those in need. The most recent poker pro to make a pledge is Jennifer Harman.
Harman has decided to donate one percent of her future earnings in the realm of poker to the NephCure Foundation. This Foundation conducts research for Nephrotic syndrome and Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis which are two debilitating kidney diseases.
Harman has suffered from kidney disease herself and has had to undergo two kidney transplants so this charity is close to her heart. Harman has worked with the All-in for a Cure organization which is part of the Poker Players International which works with NephCure.
Harman commented: “Kidney disease is extremely difficult. It is invisible, and it affects kids and adults alike. NephCure is trying to find an answer, and I’m here to help by joining All-in for a Cure.”
