Phil Ivey First on All Time Money List

Daniel Negreanu had been sitting at the top spot of the all time money list for a few months but now a new poker pro has moved up to the top spot. With the conclusion of the 2010 Aussie Millions $100,000 Challenge, Phil Ivey has moved to the coveted spot on the list.

Ivey had good positioning going into heads up play and he would play strong after that. Ivey would be up against the likes of Howard Lederer, Barry Greenstein, Billy Jordanou, Tony G, Tony Bloom, Jonathan Karamalikis and Dan Shak during final table play.

Ivey would make it to heads up play to face Dan Shak and he would have a slight chip lead. However Ivey would not keep the lead and Shak would end up winning the tournament. But in the process Ivey would earn enough with the second place finish to move to the top spot on the all time money list.

Ivey earned $600,000 AUD for the win and this would put him above Negreanu on the list. It will be interesting to see if Ivey will hold the spot on the list or if someone else will bump him down a notch.
