UltimateBet Adds Yet another Player to their Star Players Team
Fresh off of their announcement of the fifth addition to their Star Players Team, UltimateBet has added yet another player to their Star Players Team roster. Known for his skills in blackjack and as a television personality, “Hollywood” Dave Stann is the newest member of the UltimateBet Star Players Team.
Dave Stann earned his Honors BFA Theater degree at Kent State University before moving to Los Angeles in 2001 to start his film career. To earn money Stann learned to count cards and used that skill to win at blackjack tables in Las Vegas.
Stann soon became a member of team of international card counters and quickly became known in the blackjack world. It wasn’t until 2006 that Stann would move to the poker genre and take six months to learn the game of poker from Annie Duke. Stann traded poker lessons for blackjack lessons with Duke.
Since then Stann has went on to be called a Top Ten player in the under $1k buy-in category and win almost $250,000 in tournaments. This year he even cashed out in the World Series of Poker. Stann has appeared in over 70 episodes of gambling television and now hosts the Best Damn Poker Show on television.
Annie Duke, the Cardroom Consultant for UltimateBet commented on Stann joining the Team: "We're thrilled to have the Bad Boy of Blackjack on our Star Players Team. His poker skills are quickly becoming on par with his blackjack skills and it's only a matter of time before 'Hollywood' Dave Stann becomes a household name in the poker world."
