Boss Media Launches New Network and Platform
Boss Media just announced the launch of an Italian poker network. The announcement was made at the European iGaming congress and Expo in Barcelona. Because Italy’s gaming regulator is now allowing online poker, Boss Media along with St Minver, the sister company, will be giving Italian players an online poker experience through parent company GTech and Lottomatica, GTech owners.
The new Italian network will be the third poker room that Boss Media has launched in Europe for nationally licensed operators. Svenska Spel for Sweden and Casinos Austria for Austria are the other networks created by Boss Media.
"The network will initially be for Italian poker players exclusively, but we hope that eventually, legislation will allow us to pool liquidity from the Italian network with our other European poker networks, possibly even with the IPN hosted outside Italy," stated Per Karlsson, the head of poker for Boss Media.
Along with the new Italian platform, Boss Media, St Minver and Finsoft groups that operate under the New Media Sports & Betting name have launched a new website called Skilljuice. This is a new site that features the new skill gaming platform. Gary Shaw is the chief innovator for the New Media Sports & Betting and he stated: "There a number of skill game offerings in the market, but we wanted to create the largest scalable back office and game engine where over a million players could play concurrently in a heads up tournament format. We hope that over the coming months many of our group's existing and new customers around the world will adopt this. Together our distribution would be truly global."
