Full Tilt Poker Website Troubles?

Feb 20, 2008
Author: Rebecca Rosales

If you have had trouble accessing Full Tilt Poker lately, you're not alone.  There have been numerous posts on online poker forums that have voiced concerns about what might be going on at Full Tilt.

Players have reported a number of incidents where they weren't able to finish tournaments that they had just started and accessing the Full Tilt web site at all.

Some are saying that several gaming sites have attributed to the problematic service to a DDos (Distributed Denial of Service Attack) while others say that the site is just undergoing routine site maintenance.  DDoS attacks will usually overwhelm a web site with requests that results in denying legitimate users access to the site.

Full Tilt Poker hasn't officially commented on the situation as of yet but are expected to comment on the situation soon.

The Shadowserver Foundation, an all volunteer group of security professionals that gather, track and report suspicious activity has noted that a number og gambling sites are under attack.

In an update that was released by the Shadowserver Foundation there were approximately 31 gambling sites including Full Tilt Poker that were listed as targets.
