International Poker Network Awards Bad Beat Jackpot
Online player AlkaliEars was really lucky this past week when he lost a hand at the International Poker Network bad beat tables. AlkaliEars held four jacks when he lost and this triggered the bad beat jackpot and paid everyone involved from the jackpot.
The lucky loser earned €144,473 which was a good portion of the just over €412,781 jackpot. The winner of the hand earned €72,236 for beating AlkaliEars who held the four jacks. The other competitors at the poker table earned €24,078 just for being in the right place at the right time.
AlkaliEars commented: “I was so sure my four jacks would take the pot. My heart sank when my opponent revealed four kings to beat them. But then I remembered that by losing with such a great hand I had won the bad beat jackpot.”
IPN is operated by GTech G2 and Mery Blomqvist of GTech G2 commented: “The bad beat jackpot was created to help ease the frustration of losing even when you’re dealt great cards. With a jackpot requirement starting at quad sixes, this has got to be the easiest bad beat jackpot to hit anywhere.”
