PokerStars Hosts First Ever Real Money Event in Macau

It has been reported that PokerStars will be hosting the first ever real money No-Limit Texas Hold'em poker tournament in China on the island of Macau. The event will be the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau and will have a $2,500 USD buy-in main event called the Asian Poker Open. The event is taking place together with Galaxy Entertainment/Grand Waldo Casino group and First Impression Ltd. The tournament will take place at the Grand Waldo Hotel and Casino on the island of Macau on November 22nd through the 27th.

This tournament will not only showcase poker pros but will also give players a chance to explore the island and see all the exotic features it holds. There are gardens, temples, monuments and the Macau historic centre for visitors to enjoy.

Many big named pros will be attending the event including the US Poker Team PokerStars. There will be a USD $15,000 High Rollers Event and also a few satellites and side events. Qualification can be obtained on PokerStars.net through satellite tournaments that the site holds every day.
