ESPN to Air Only Two Bracelet Events of This Year

The 2009 World Series of Poker television schedule has been released by ESPN and it is lacking when it comes to bracelet events. The sports station will air only four events and only two will be bracelet events.

The Main Event will be aired with the finale having twenty five one hour episodes as well as a final table preview episode similar to last years. The 40th anniversary $40K No Limit event will be aired as well as the WSOP champions invitational and the Ante Up for Africa charity tournament.

The $50K H.O.R.S.E. event will not be aired as usual since Scotty Nguyen acted up last year and no other bracelet events will be aired. Last year the sports station aired seven tournaments all of which were bracelet events.

The $40K event will be exciting to watch as only those with high bank rolls with be able to enter so we should see a good deal of poker pros. Yet the Champions event and the Ante Up for Africa event are not bracelet events but should still attract a good number of celebrities and poker pros.
