Epic Poker League Announces Television Schedule

The Epic Poker League has announced the broadcast schedule for their first season, with 20 hours of original programming scheduled to air on television over the next year.

The broadcasts of EPL events will be aired on two different networks. The majority of the televised coverage can be found on Velocity, a new network that is replacing what is currently known as HD Theater. Velocity, which is marketed to an upscale male market, will air 13 hours of the Epic Poker League’s first season.

Meanwhile, the higher-profile coverage will occur on CBS. The broadcast network will air seven hours of coverage beginning in October. In addition, all 20 hours of coverage will be re-aired on Velocity on weekends.

"Players and fans have been asking when they can tune-in to watch the Epic Poker League, so we're pleased to share our national telecast schedule for CBS and Velocity," said Jeffrey Pollack, executive chairman of the Epic Poker League. "Epic Poker offers an innovative take on America's favorite card game and our telecasts put an entirely new spotlight on many of the world's finest players."

Coverage will begin on September 30^th, with a sneak preview on the HD Theater Network at 10 pm. The coverage will be hosted by sports reporter Pat O’Brien, with analysis provided by Ali Nejad. The following is the complete broadcast schedule for the Epic Poker League:
