WPT Canada Appearing on Sportsnet
Rogers Sportsnet is getting ready to air exclusive coverage of the four part poker series next week. You will be able to watch all the action of the World Poker Tour Canada, this is the first ever Canadian World Poker Tour tournament series to be televised.
To help viewers keep track of all the plays sports announcer Jim Van Horne and "Cowboy" Kenna James will be calling all of the action. The first of four one hour episodes is going to premier during the first week of September on Sportsnet East, Sportsnet West, Sportsnet Pacific and Sportsnet Ontario.
Now we will be able to watch all of the high stakes poker action on the WPT Canada Coast to Coast Championships. This was a 9 day poker series that combined a number of different poker events that were all held at the River Rock Casino in Vancouver.
This tournament series attracted nearly 2,000 players from across Canada and other parts of the world to compete for a chunk of the $1.6 million dollar prize pool and the World Poker Tour Canada title. The WPT Canada series will start off with the two part final table from the Coast to Coast Championships $1,000 buy in three day Bounty Event that had 439 players.
The 439 players were all competing for a seat in the first televised WPT Canada event and of course the $92,120 dollar first prize. This episode is going to be good as we can all watch amateurs and professional players try to knock each other out of the tournament.
So clear your schedule for Monday, September 1st and Wednesday, September 10th so you can see all of the action at the felts of the WPT Canada. Then later on you can watch the Coast to Coast Championship Main Event final table so check your local listings so you don't miss out.
