One hundred and eight players competed in the Swansea stop of the Sky Poker UK Tour (SPUKT) which took place at Aspers Casino last week. It was Aaron Hopkins who outlasted the field and took the £1800 first place prize. Hopkins also earned a seat to the SPUKT Grand Final.

Aaron commented on his win stated that there was a little luck involved but he decided to just go for the win and he came out on top. He also commented that he had only played in six live events in the past which included the Sky Poker Boot camp which took place last year in Bristol.

Aaron said he usually plays online at Sky Poker because he likes to watch television while he plays. His wife, Naomi Hopkins is a semi pro poker player and Aaron said she was “gutted” that he beat her. Aaron also commented that after his latest win Naomi would be cleaning out more of the fish tanks while he cleans up at the poker tables.

The Main Event of the Sky Poker UK Tour will take place at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham in June and will have a televised final table. The prize pool is a guaranteed £25,000.
