Doulas12 Wins Sunday Million at PokerStars
Out of all the major tournaments that took place over the weekend, PokerStars Sunday Million managed to have the largest prize pool. Seven thousand four hundred and forty six players entered the event hoping for a piece of the $1.5 million guarantee.
The final table held nine players and play began as it normally would. Once the table was down to the final four, they decided to cut a deal. The deal agreed upon was based on the current chip counts. It left $30,000 for the winner of the event.
Anetas1 would receive the most at $125,824, next would be joncheng with $106,024, then Crackpfeife with $105,123 and lastly doulas12 with $95,478. Joncheng would be the first to go of the four remaining players, which was surprising since he had the second largest chip stack. Next the chip leader would go leaving online Crackpfeife and doulas12 to fight for the extra $30,000.
Doulas12 who had the lowest chip count managed to come from behind and knock out Crackpfeife for the win. He essentially turned a little over $95,000 into just over $125,000. An amazing feat for someone who was so far down in chips.
