Dubbeemin Wins FTOPS IX Main Event

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series IX has come to an end, with 4,880 players battling it out during the Main Event. The buy-in for this event was $500 + $35 with a guaranteed prize pool of $2.5 million. The amount of players did not generate the guaranteed prize pool so the tournament had an overlay.

Players that finished in the money were awarded at least $725 dollars and 648 out of 4,880 players finishes in the money. Dubbeemin managed to outlast the playing field and take home the $432,000 first place prize.

The final table of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series IX had nine players; Dubbeemin, Valleyho, TheTotalPkg, Pokerguru19, TiltinShoes, aaaFRANCESCOzzz, tvcsa, hemlock1313 and sckilla.
 
The first player to be eliminated from the table would be TiltinShoes, who raised preflop and was called by dubbeemin. TiltinShoes A-K was no match for dubbeemin’s pocket aces and he was out in ninth place.

 PokerGuru19 would raise preflop soon after and would be called all in by aaaFRANCESCOzzz. PokerGuru19 would call with pocket Jacks against aaaFRANCESCOzzz A-5. The board would run 2-A-2 giving aaaFRANCESCOzzz the advantage, but PokerGuru19 would get a Jack on the turn and eliminate aaaFRANCESCOzzz in 8th place.

Tvcsas, hemlock1313 and sckilla would be the next three eliminated, in that order. PokerGuru19 and valleyho would take them out but PokerGuru19’s luck would run out as he was eliminated in fourth place. PokerGuru19 had a short stack and decided to go all in with A-J but valleyho would call and with pocket Queens, could not be beat.

After TheTotalPkg went out in third, dubbeemin and valleyho were left to battle it out in heads up play. The final hand would come when both players were working a flush draw on a 9-7-6 flop with two spades.  Valleyho was in the lead with K-10clubs while dubbeemin had J-Qclubs. The river card would be the clincher, as dubbeemin got a Jack and the win.
